Beavers - Tree Cutting

After moving to a new residence a number of years ago, I found that beavers also inhabited the property. Wanting to limit the damage they are capable of, I began to search for someone to remove them. My insurance agent game me Tony's name and I contacted him immediately.  He was able to remove the animals quickly, and ensured their removal by checking back numerous times to ensure the job was complete.  The beavers move back in fairly often, as there are a number of ponds on my property. Tony has always made himself available and can be counted on to remove them. Owning property with ideal accommodations for beavers can be a struggle to prevent damage; Tony has been able to completely remove the newly arrived beavers each time. Tony’s efforts are very effective, and help limit property damage to a minimum in a practical and humane manner. I am very pleased with his professionalism and prompt, successful response; I would definitely recommend Tony for any nuisance wildlife problems you encounter!

Grubbing Critters - Lawn Damage

Late last spring, my yard was being dug up like crazy. I had no idea what was going on; I'd never seen that. After a little googling, I realized I had a problem with skunks digging for grubs. I called the DNR office for tips. Did I want to borrow or buy a trap; then figure out what to do with a trapped skunk? Uhm, nope. They had a list of several local fellows who help people get rid of wildlife pests, and gave me their contact information. I picked Tony's name and gave him a call. And, boy, am I ever glad I picked him! He totally came to the rescue! I quickly learned that Tony has a great deal of experience, know-how, and intuition on the ways of critters. He set up an efficient array of cage traps we had a system - I would check the traps in the early a.m. then call him so he could come and collect any wayward animals. He would also come in-between catches, when necessary, to freshen bait, make sure traps were operational, etc. He was very considerate and let us know, beforehand, that he would be stopping by.

He ended up collecting a variety of critters that were causing lawn damage as well as others that were living under my shed! He was always professional and pleasant to work with, and came to humanely dispatch the animals soon after he got the phone calls. He stayed on the job for as long as I wanted him to. He checked in with me, to see when I felt comfortable that the critters weren't creating problems any more, before removing the traps.

I also learned a lot. I would occasionally walk the trap-line with him. Tony answered my questions and explained what he was doing and why.

Another unexpected (and huge) bonus I discovered was utilizing Tony's skill at 'exclusion' -- I have a cabin on the property that had some degraded siding (high, under the roof-line and low, to the crawlspace). Squirrels and perhaps others (racoons? bats?) had easy access into the area over the cabin bedroom and living area, which could have turned very ugly. Tony (very effectively and neatly) closed up the high access with wood and screening; as well as closed off the crawl space, again incorporating screening (allowing for continued air flow), as, through the years, the crawlspace had become another easy area for critters to move in and take up residence. Wow! He did a great job of carpentry! We feel secure, now, knowing that the cabin is totally buttoned-up and inaccessible to critters.

We feel so very fortunate that Tony is in the Bemidji area and, absolutely knows what he's doing. He is reliable, considerate, professional, his charges are very reasonable and sensible, and he is willing to get those calls at 6:30 in the morning, letting him know there's a skunk in the live-trap!

Before Tony was done working here, I told him I would be happy to be a reference, if ever needed. I would (and will) hire Tony back in a New York heartbeat, no hesitation, whatsoever.
